The Art & Music Project
Aidan Caughy is an Atlanta artist known for their dynamic and dreamy jazz-pop-fusion sound. Their set was recorded in ‘The Basement,’ a unique space where Caughy and their band performed three songs from their discography as well as two unreleased songs from their upcoming project “TV Dinner.” Alongside Aidan is bassist Jim Roberto and guitarist Noa Kristopher.
I loved this project. Produced and recorded during my last semester of university and released later after graduating, I felt that this production highlights my development as a documentary filmmaker. Producing, directing the interview and shots, engineering the “tiny-desk” style recording, it all fell into place nicely with the help of my team and the artists.
Aidan is an extremely talented artist, and we had talked about recording an episode back in the spring of 2024. If this had been the year before, I believe I would not have stayed persistent in the pre-production phase and the project fail to exist.
